Abstract:Changes of shape memory effect and mechanical properties with different solution treatment temperatures were investigated by OM, SEM, XRD and electrical resistivity. The results showed that the maximum recovery strain of the alloy raised first and then reduced with the decrease of solution treatment temperature. The maximum recovery strain, which was about 5. 6%, can be achieved at 1023K. The ductility of the alloy increased with the decrease of solution treatment temperature. Moreover, the alloy under solution treatment at 1023K possessed higher yield strength compared with alloys at other temperatures. The precipitation of alpha phase and κ phase under solution treatment at 1023K is responsible for improvement of the ductility and strength, respectively.
